The beauty and bath brand was founded in 2017 with the mission of providing a product that was good for humans in packaging that was good for the environment. Plaine has become the go-to brand for those in the zero-waste community, as the company’s take-back program allows customers to refill their product without wasting the sturdy, reusable aluminum bottle.
The zero-waste movement has found success among college students who want to care for the environment while also using products in the most cost efficient ways. One of these zero-wasters is biology junior, Hannah Kleppe, who discovered Plaine while transitioning into a more sustainable lifestyle last year. The company has become a staple in her hygiene routine and she couldn’t be happier about it, knowing she’s doing her part every time she lathers up.
